Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better called Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The first single, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Her first album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music on the internet back in 2012 after she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her own single Bound, as well as her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. Also, she was featured in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus along with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream came out September 5, 2018 with the music video. On the 9th of November 2018, she released another two singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). She then released on November 13 two new singles called One and Pedigree. One and pedigree. Then she appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album the same name. This track, which was launched with a music video on YouTube February 20, 2019 was watched more than 3 million times in the first seven days. In support of the track She toured with 6LACK in December of 2018 for their From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
