Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division in the UFC. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports in the form of an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003, and she took home an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 as well as the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina bounced right back after losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round.
